PHILIPSBURG – A 63-year-old Philipsburg man is in jail after he threatened the life of another man Saturday afternoon.
State police at Clearfield report that Clair Welder allegedly pointed a loaded pistol at the head of a 35-year-old Houtzdale man while the pair was at Welder’s residence in Decatur Township at about 4 p.m. Saturday.
The alleged victim was able to grab the pistol, but Welder allegedly threatened him with a loaded shotgun.
Welder was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rudella. He is housed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
