CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township Police were called to Wallace Auto Sales on South Second Street in Clearfield between Tuesday and Wednesday for an attempted theft.
Officers report that someone pried open a sliding rear window on a vehicle and then attempted to “pop” the vehicle’s ignition.
The incident remains under investigation.
UPDATE: Lawrence Township Police have a suspect in the theft of a vehicle from Wallace Auto Sales in Clearfield.
The vehicle was last seen at a residence on Spruce Street, and the identity of the driver is known to police.
The investigation continues, and officers are also looking into several allegedly false statements that were made to police.
