The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 between exits 158 (Milesburg) and 147 (Snowshoe) are closed Wednesday morning due to a multiple tractor-trailer accident near mile marker 148.
Traffic is being detoured off of I-80 westbound at the Milesburg exit, onto state Route 144 and back onto I-80 westbound at Snowshoe (exit 147).
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation expects the closure to be in effect until about noon Wednesday.
Information about the closure is being broadcast to I-80 motorists on the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 AM. Drivers are advised to remain alert for slowed or stopped traffic, follow all detour directions and information and to always buckle up.
