Her passion for comedy during her youth saw her to attend acting classes at the Guildford School - https://biaza.org.uk/news/detail/blog-trials-of-a-keeper-educational-exchange-programme of Acting and Italia Conti, and authoring the school plays as she got older.
Alice's aspiration - https://www.keeperexchange.org/employer-listing was to write comedy and be a performer, but another dream was realised when she started volunteering at a Wildlife Rehabilitation - https://www.keeperexchange.org/other-opportunities Centre in 2011, while attending University - https://www.rhinokeeperassociation.org/professional-development. From then on, Alice was hooked on animal care - https://wildenrichment.podbean.com/e/ep-40-collaborating-for-better-human-and-animal-wellbeing-with-alice-vassalo/ and worked to pursue that career instead.
Alice started her Zookeeping journey - https://www.keeperexchange.org/jobs-listing in 2014 at ZSL London Zoo - https://www.keeperexchange.org/about-us-2 where she was involved with 3 different animal departments. In 2015, she departed from the Zoo - https://www.keeperexchange.org/get-involved life to run a Children's Farm - https://www.keeperexchange.org/about-us-2 in North London but after a few years, chose to go back to exotic animals, zookeeper - http://www.annunciogratis.net/author/teenaswann moving to Costa Rica for 7 months to study Toucans and help with Sloth research.
When she returned to England, zookeeper - https://systemcheck-wiki.de/index.php?title=Benutzer:JoeyElkin681384 she made her way back to Zookeeping, and took on the role of a Carnivore Keeper - https://www.keeperexchange.org/ at Shepreth Wildlife Park, zookeeper - http://www.engel-und-waisen.de/index.php/Benutzer:ZandraFowlkes4 where she stayed for nearly 5 years.

She has spoken about the programme at the ABWAK Symposium and the BIAZA Annual Conference and the organisation is proud to be BIAZA Endorsed and sponsored - https://www.alicevassallo.co.uk/keep by Birdworld, in Surrey.
In 2023, searching for a creative outlet, Alice created the animal-comedy podcast: "Asshole Animals with Alice", zookeeper - https://cameradb.review/wiki/User:AllisonGair783 that examines animal behaviour - https://www.keeperexchange.org/getting-started in a comedic fashion, with the help of experts across the world. In the first few months of her podcast, zookeeper - https://www.hb9lc.org/wiki/index.php/User:JinaAndrus she was accompanied by nature creatives such as Chris Packham, Megan McCubbin, Lucy Lapwing, Jungle Jordan, Bertie Gregory - https://www.alicevassallo.co.uk/about and aims to continue interviewing hilarious experts about animals with a bad reputation.
Alice was also shortlisted for BIAZA's "Woman of the Year" award in 2023.
