A 71-year-old male inmate suffered an apparent cardiac event in the early hours of 7-3-26, despite immediate attention from jail staff and a rapid response by paramedics the inmate could not be revived. He was pronounced dead at 5:20am by Chief Deputy Coroner Gilbert J. Stevenson.
An autopsy and toxicology report will be completed to provide a definitive cause of death.
