SPONSORED: Registration Deadline Nears for Rocky Grove Firemen’s Parade

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. (EYT) – The Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department is reminding community groups and organizations to register soon for this year’s Firemen’s Parade, set for Wednesday, June 24.

Lineup begins at 5 p.m., and the parade steps off at 6 p.m., rain or shine.

Community groups, businesses, youth organizations, dance teams, classic cars, jeeps, bands, fire departments, and specialty units are all encouraged to take part. Whether you’ve marched before or are considering joining for the first time, organizers hope to see a wide mix of participants.

To help with planning and staging, entries are asked to complete the online registration form by June 17.

All entries will stage on Wiley Avenue and must enter from Front Street. After the parade, participants are invited to park at the fire department, display their vehicles, grab something to eat, and enjoy the fair.

This year’s parade also ties into the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, encouraging groups to bring out their red, white, and blue spirit as part of the celebration.
