BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The American Red Cross and the Brookville community will host a blood drive Friday, May 22, in memory of Dr. Brigette “Bee” Matson, a dedicated local educator
The drive will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brookville High School.
Matson passed away in September 2024 at age 47 following a two-year battle with angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. During her treatment, she received dozens of units of blood and expressed deep gratitude for the donors who helped sustain her life.
Family, friends and colleagues invite the community to participate in the drive to help others battling cancer and various medical needs. Light snacks will be provided by the Brookville Presbyterian Church.
