PHILIPSBURG- On this Good Friday morning, Christians from throughout the community will come together to visibly remember Christ’s sacrifice by demonstrating His own cross carry.
The Cross Walk begins at 7 a.m. on Second and Spruce streets in Philipsburg, continues along Spruce Street to Front Street, turns south on Front Street carrying the cross along the sidewalk to Presqueisle Street. The path will turn left onto Presqueisle St. and then turn right on Centre Street heading up to the First Church of Christ of Philipsburg, 1437 Tyrone Pike.
Participants take turns carrying the wooden cross along the route. There will be spotters helping when needed.
Refreshments are served in our fellowship hall afterwards.
