CLEARFIELD- The Clearfield County Semiquincentennial (A250PA) Advisory Committee is seeking volunteers to serve as Hometown Ambassadors in communities throughout Clearfield County as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
Hometown Ambassadors will play a vital volunteer role by serving as liaisons between the Advisory Committee and their local communities. Ambassadors will help identify, support, and promote events celebrating the Semiquincentennial while acting as the committee’s “boots on the ground” in their respective areas.
Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with local A250PA- related events, attending commemorative activities throughout the county, and participating in or organizing a public reading of the Declaration of Independence in their hometown on July 3 or July 4, 2026.
The Clearfield County A250PA Advisory Committee has tentative plans to assist in organizing public readings of the Declaration of Independence at multiple locations across the county. These events are intended to educate youth, engage residents, and remind the community of the historical significance of the nation’s 250th
anniversary.
Community members with an interest in history, civic engagement, or local events are encouraged to apply. No prior experience is required only a willingness to volunteer and represent their hometown with pride.
