WINSLOW TWP, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a Reynoldsville man was cited following a single vehicle crash on State Route 950 on Thursday evening.
According to DuBois-based State Police, the incident occurred at 9:28 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, on Reynoldsville Falls Road, south of Gospel Center Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.
Police reported that 64-year old Louis E. Newpher was traveling south in a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox, and for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went up a steep embankment on the west shoulder of the roadway.
According to police, Newpher left the scene after the crash. However, he was eventually contacted by PSP DuBois.
Newpher was not injured, police say.
Police charged him with a traffic violation.
Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department and Jewell’s Towing assisted at the scene.
