MCCALMONT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Jefferson County.
According to a report from the Punxsutawney barracks, the incident happened at 6:07 a.m. on January 13 along State Route 310, near Knox Dale Road.
Investigators reported that an unknown driver was traveling north on Main Street when they lost control of their vehicle. The vehicle struck a guide rail.
According to the report, the driver fled the scene before troopers arrived. No one observed the crash as it occurred.
The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door Ford F150 pickup truck, according to the report.
Police stated that charges are pending further investigation. The primary violation listed in the report is failure to drive within a single lane.
