BROCKWAY — The Curwensville girls basketball team fell behind host Brockway 13-2 after one quarter and couldn’t recover, dropping a 52-30 decision to the Lady Rovers on Wednesday.
Adelyn Koval scored the Lady Tide’s only basket in the first quarter and added three more buckets in the fourth in an 8-point effort.
Briah Peoples led Curwensville with 12 points.
Rheanna Spinda (19), Sophia Schmader (17) and Sophia Morrison (10) were all in double figures for Brockway, which held a 32-10 advantage at the break.
Curwensville slipped to 1-10 this season. Brockway upped its record to 4-8.
The Lady Tide are back in action Friday, Jan. 16, hosting Purchase Line.
