BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Local and state police are investigating three separate incidents reported across Clearfield and Jefferson counties over the past several weeks, ranging from a domestic assault to a warrant arrest and an alleged theft by deception.

Brookville Borough Police responded to a domestic incident on January 9 within Brookville Borough. Police say officers were dispatched to East Main Street for a report involving a 29-year-old female victim. The altercation occurred at a residence and involved a known 31-year-old male. The victim was evaluated at Penn Highlands Brookville. Following the investigation, charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office.

In a separate incident, Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois conducted a traffic stop on a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander on December 6, 2025, at 9:04 p.m. in the 1400 block of DuBois Rockton Road, Union Township, Clearfield County. During the stop, troopers arrested the driver, a 38-year-old DuBois man, on a full extradition warrant out of Texas. Police released the details of this incident on January 12.

State police are also investigating an alleged case of identity theft reported on January 12 along Madison Avenue in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County. According to police, a 48-year-old Falls Creek woman reported the alleged theft of a birth certificate. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
