JOHNSONBURG — The Johnsonburg girls basketball team outscored visiting Curwensville 14-4 in a decisive fourth quarter on Monday evening, pulling away from the Lady Tide 24-13.
The Lady Rams, who were held to only two points total in the second and third quarters, led just 10-9 after three quarters in the low-scoring affair.
Johnsonburg led 8-0 after one, but a 3-pointer from Addison Warren and a pair of free throws by Briah Peoples helped the Lady Tide close the gap to 10-5 at the half.
Warren and Peoples each netted buckets in the third and Curwensville’s defense held the Lady Rams scoreless, making it a 10-9 score after three.
Peoples led the Lady Tide with seven points. Warren added six.
Curwensville, which fell to 0-2, visits Tussey Mountain Thursday, Dec. 11.
