Details of the case:
According to court documents, on November 13, the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 25-year-old Brandon Michael Pearce, of Punxsutawney.
According to a criminal complaint, Punxsutawney Borough Police were called to a home on Greenwood Avenue on November 11. A caller reported a man was screaming on the porch and saying he was “going to kill someone,” the complaint notes.
Police allege Pearce was at the home at 10:13 p.m. and returned minutes later. The complaint states that during the second visit, Pearce spoke into a Ring doorbell camera. He allegedly threatened to “kill and rape” a 16-year-old girl who lived there, the complaint notes.
According to the complaint, Pearce also said: “I am on your front porch and I am going to rape your daughter.”
Pearce also allegedly threatened to kill a man, the complaint continues. Police noted Pearce spoke “to [the man] in his head” during the incident on the porch.
According to the complaint, the 16-year-old victim told police Pearce had sent her a 3-minute Snapchat video. In the video, he allegedly said he was going to kill [the man]. This followed earlier messages where Pearce claimed [the man] was trying to send him to prison, the complaint indicates.
The 16-year-old girl and the man both provided written statements to police. They stated they were in fear of Pearce. The man reported Pearce had made “many life-threatening messages, calls,” and had been told to stay away from the family, according to the complaint.
Pearce was arraigned on November 14 before Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock.
