Pennsylvania State Police and Brookville Borough Police handled a series of unrelated incidents across Jefferson County in recent days, ranging from a death investigation to a DUI crash and an unusual public intoxication case inside a local convenience store.
According to PSP DuBois, troopers conducted a death investigation on November 24 involving a 42-year-old Reynoldsville woman. Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no additional details were released.
PSP Marienville responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 36 in Eldred Township on November 22. Troopers say a known 63-year-old Clarington woman was driving a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole, shearing it off. Police determined the woman was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Charges are pending.
Brookville Borough Police also released information on an incident that occurred just before midnight on November 27. Officers were called to a convenience store for a report of an adult female who had been inside the bathroom for approximately three hours and was not acting normally. Police made contact with the individual and determined she was intoxicated. Charges have been filed, according to the report.
