CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville woman accused of selling methamphetamine twice, waived her right to preliminary hearings Wednesday during centralized court.

Melissa Renea Woodling, 36, is charged with manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and criminal use of communication facility, both felonies as well as misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, in two cases.

She remains in the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail in each case.

In March of this year, the Grandview Avenue home of Woodling and Jason Lee Guthrie, 44, was the subject of a search warrant where officials found a quantity of methamphetamine and packaging materials.

Her bail in that case was only $10,000 unsecured and she was out of jail when she committed the other crimes.

The two new cases stem from Woodling allegedly selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant in June.

According to those affidavits of probable cause, on June 25 the Attorney General Drug Task Force learned from the informant that he/she could purchase methamphetamine from Woodling at that same residence.

The informant was taken to the home where he/she entered the and reportedly purchased 15.1 grams of the substance for $250, while agents were posted outside.

Later that same day, the informant contacted Woodling again about buying more of the drug.

Woodling said she sold the rest of her supply and would have to go to West Decatur to get more. After she obtained the substance, they arranged to meet in Clearfield Borough near the intersection of East Locust and North Third Streets.

Once there, the informant got into a car driven by Woodling and reportedly purchased 28.4 grams of methamphetamine for $600.

Woodling also has charges related to a traffic stop on Sept. 10.

After a K-9 unit detected the presence of drugs in the vehicle, a search warrant was executed on it. Police found 112.5 grams of methamphetamine, 8.2 grams of cocaine, buprenorphine and naloxone film valued at $160, 2.4 grams of fentanyl, a glass container with approximately 35 grams of fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia in the black bag, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

In that case she is charged with manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and three misdemeanor counts each of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail in this case is $50,000

In her original case, she is charged with felony manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, as well as misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She waived her right to a hearing on those offenses on April 2.

These charges stem from the findings after the search of her home on March 17. She and Guthrie were the subjects of an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances that began in June 2024.

The criminal complaint details how the troopers found “in plain view methamphetamine spread out on a table” and packaging materials. They also reportedly found a plastic bag that contained suspected methamphetamine already packaged for sale.

Loose methamphetamine was found in a small silver pan and more in plastic containers on the kitchen table, according to the affidavit.

In Woodling’s purse they allegedly found a small container of methamphetamine, over $600 in cash and an owe sheet with names and dollar amounts on it.

Police say a scale, several cell phones, bulk packaging materials, unknown white pills, additional owe sheets, and containers of marijuana were also located in the residence.

Also charged in that case, is Guthrie who waived his hearing on similar charges in March. His bail is $100,000.
