CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is facing felony charges for selling methamphetamine on three separate occasions.

Bon Scott Lefort, 24, was charged by state police with three felony counts of manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

During centralized court Wednesday, Lefort waived his right to a preliminary hearing, sending the case on to the county court for further disposition. He is incarcerated in the county jail on $100,000 bail.

Police say in November 2024, a confidential informant told them he/she could purchase 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from Lefort. The informant set up the deal through text messages.

After giving the informant $85 for the sale, he/she traveled to the Philipsburg Plaza parking lot in Decatur Township. Troopers conducted surveillance nearby.

One of the troopers saw a silver car parked in the lot with Lefort as the sole occupant. Lefort got out of the vehicle when the informant arrived and got into the passenger side of his/her vehicle.

They appeared to have a brief conversation and a trooper reportedly saw several hand transactions between them before Lefort got out and into his own vehicle.

On Feb. 14, another drug purchase from Lefort was setup with an informant. He/she said they could buy an eight-ball (3.5 grams) of methamphetamine for $100.

The criminal complaint details how this transaction with an informant occurred with police watching, at a Morris Township residence.

The third buy was on April 24. It included another purchase of 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from Lefort for $85. This also took place at the Morris Township residence, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
