CLEARFIELD- The Clearfield County Historical Society will be holding their annual holiday open house and book sale Saturday, December 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 in the society’s Kerr House Museum located at 104 E. Pine Street in Clearfield.
Come shop, enjoy refreshments and tour your county museum. This is a perfect opportunity to buy local and share a piece of your county history.
Featured books include CCHS’s new publication, The Allegheny Front. Its chronology begins with Clearfield County’s frontier history, then to our frontier settlement and the expansion of our county as it expanded ever westward. Get your copy now to brush up on your history for the 250th. Also featured will be our children’s activity book and Back in the Day Cookbook. All make great gifts along with our other 40 books, Sam King maps and William Patton Brown prints.
Most books and maps will be discounted, and all art prints will be 50% off. And several out-of-print books, previously read, will be available.
There will also be gift memberships available – a perfect gift. Each membership comes with a welcome letter, brochures and copy of our bi-annual Bulletin. The Bulletin is almost 40 pages of photos and county history articles.
