CLEARFIELD- Clearfield Regional Police Chief Vincent McGinnis announced his plans to retire at the Regional Police Commission meeting on Wednesday.
McGinnis released the following statement to GANT News.
“I have been profoundly humbled to serve this community as a police officer, Assistant Chief of Police and Chief of Police for the Clearfield Borough Police Department and the Chief of Police Clearfield Regional Police Department. Today I am announcing my retirement, effective December 31,2025.
My goal has always been to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and to lead our department with integrity and purpose. The role of Police Chief is a demanding one, requiring immense dedication and a front row seat to life’s most challenging moments.
After much reflection and discussion with my family, I have decided it is the right time to step aside and focus on my personal well-being and the next chapter of my life.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the administration and the community for their unwavering support throughout my tenure.
It has been a privilege to serve the communities. I wish all continued success.”
