CLEARFIELD- The Clearfield County Bar Association, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, is proud to announce a Wills for Heroes event to be held on Friday, December 6, at the Copper Cork Event Center, located at 512 Arnold Avenue, Clearfield.
This free event provides first responders, veterans, and their spouses or partners with the opportunity to have wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives prepared by volunteer attorneys—at no cost.
“We are honored to bring the Wills for Heroes program back to Clearfield County for the first time in over a decade,” said Adrianne Peters Sipes, President of the Clearfield County Bar Association and Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
“This event offers a unique opportunity to give back to the men and women who protect and serve our communities every day. First responders dedicate their lives to keeping us safe, and Wills for Heroes ensures that they and their families have access to essential estate planning services, including wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. We are honored to provide this important program locally once again, and we encourage all eligible heroes in Clearfield County to take advantage of this free and invaluable service.”
Appointments are required and typically take about one hour. Participants will meet one-on-one with a licensed Pennsylvania attorney to complete their estate planning documents on-site. Please note that proof of service/affiliation will be requested at the event. Volunteers are also needed to assist with the event.
