BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A 57-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman are facing charges following a road rage incident that escalated into a confrontation on Allegheny Boulevard earlier this month, according to Brookville Borough Police.
Police say the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. on October 8 near the intersection of Allegheny Boulevard and the westbound I-80 off-ramp.
An officer on patrol reported seeing a blue Nissan stopped in the path of a grey Jeep on the boulevard. The 35-year-old woman reportedly got back into her vehicle and attempted to drive around the male’s vehicle. As she did so, the man allegedly began pounding on her car’s rear driver-side window.
According to police, both drivers had been involved in “brake checking” on the interstate prior to stopping near the off-ramp. The altercation continued after both exited their vehicles. During the argument, the man allegedly made a fist as if to punch the woman, who, in turn, pulled a lanyard from his neck and shoved him.
The woman then got back into her vehicle as the man allegedly pounded on her window again.
Police say both drivers are being charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, and multiple traffic violations.
The names of the individuals involved were not released.
Brookville Borough Police released the above report on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
