Pennsylvania State Police have released several reports detailing incidents across Jefferson and Clearfield Counties, including a PFA violation in Bell Township, a fraud investigation in Big Run, and an altercation in Reynoldsville.
According to PSP Punxsutawney, troopers investigated a protection from abuse (PFA) order violation that occurred on October 19 along McGees Mills Road in Bell Township, Clearfield County. Police say a 52-year-old Punxsutawney woman was charged with contempt of a PFA order. The victim was a 58-year-old Punxsutawney man. The woman was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
In a separate case, PSP Punxsutawney responded to a report of fraudulent checks at a business on Caroline Street in Big Run Borough on October 20. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
Meanwhile, PSP DuBois investigated a fight that occurred around 9:40 p.m. on September 21 along Grant Street Extension in Reynoldsville Borough. According to police, the two men involved—ages 30 and 43—told troopers the altercation was mutual, and neither party wished to pursue charges.
