CLEARFIELD- Clearfield County Register and Recorder Heather Olson-Desmett has launched a new program called Record Alert to help deter deed fraud in Clearfield County.
Record Alert is a program that alerts property owners if someone tries to fraudulently take their deed. It is a free service for property owners in Clearfield County.
Property owners must visit https://www.landex.com/recordalert/clearfield to sign up for the service and choose to receive alerts through text message or email.
Property owners must have their property’s parcel number which can be found under Map No. on their tax bill and will be able to register 5 parcel numbers under their name at one time.
