YOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police have released details on a wire fraud case in Jefferson County where an elderly man lost nearly $35,000.
According to State Police in Punxsutawney, an 81-year-old man from Young Township, Jefferson County, was the victim of theft by wire fraud.
Police said multiple transactions totaling $34,769.89 were made from the victim’s bank account between September 3 and September 22.
The investigation is ongoing.
