American Legion to Hold Huge Community Book Fair and Sidewalk Sale

CLEARFIELD-  The John Lewis Shade American Legion Post 6 Auxilary recently conducted a community book drive to help support the Legion’s upcoming book fair and sidewalk sale.

The event will be held at the Legion, 210 S. 2nd Street in Clearfield on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28.

During the collection, the Legion received overwhelming support from the community with hundreds of book donations and even some unique Legion memorabilia to be displayed on the historic walls.

Books will go on sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

Plans for the event also include craft, wine and food vendors and children’s entertainment.  Breakfast will also be served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.   All are invited to attend.

Vendors are still being accepted.  Those interested are asked to call 814-768-3533 for more information.
