CLEARFIELD- The Clearfield Regional Police released a letter from the Teamster’s Local Union representative to the media early Tuesday morning.
The letter, originally sent to the Regional Police Commission and police department stewards, stated that the collective bargaining unit officially voted “No Confidence” in the leadership ability and performance of Vincent McGinnis in his role of Police Chief.
The letter goes on to state, “Votes of No Confidence are never easy and are not taken lightly. However, the members of our Union felt that doing so was necessary at this time to preserve the integrity of the Clearfield Regional Police Department. It is our hope that the Commission will finally take notice of the strife caused by Chief McGinnis’s unnecessary actions and act accordingly.”
The next meeting of the Clearfield Regional Police Commission will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Lawrence Township building.
