CLEARFIELD- Lower Witmer Park, a.k.a the duck park, had a surprise visitor over the Labor Day weekend.
A large yellow duck waddled his way down the streets of Clearfield to the river and visit with friends. The duck, who wishes to remain anonymous, (and we in the newsroom have affectionately nicknamed Jerzey) brought smiles to passersby and children playing in the park.
“Jerzey” told us he just wanted to bring some joy to the town he loves and see the smiles on children’s faces. “With the kid’s starting back to school and Labor Day signaling the end of summer, I wanted to spread some positivity.”
Multiple photos and videos were taken and shared on social media adding to the spread of cheer. Jerzey said he plans to pop up around town on random future visits.
