UPDATE: According to news reports one man is in custody after “homemade bombs” and other illegal weapons were reportedly found inside a home on Walnut Street in Curwensville.
Police say a search of the home reportedly led to the discovery of multiple explosive devices, as well as illegally modified weapons.
Authorities say State Police Bomb Technicians were called to the scene and have since removed the explosives.
Chief Witherite says the suspect, who was not home at the time that police were called, has been identified as 33-year-old Clinton Park.
Investigators say Park is now in custody and is facing a variety of charges, which have not yet been filed.
CURWENSVILLE- Curwensville Police are asking residents to avoid an area of the borough due to a “serious police incident.”
Residents are to avoid the 400 block of Walnut Street and the connecting George Street.
Details are limited at this time but DA Ryan Sayers confirmed that State Police are assisting.
