MAYPORT, Pa. (EYT) — Two 13-year-old girls who went missing in Jefferson County Wednesday night have been found safe, authorities confirmed Thursday night.
Charity and Liberty (last names withheld) were located after being reported missing from the Mayport/Summerville area, where they were last seen around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16. Witnesses had reported seeing the teens walking along Macadam Road that night.
Law enforcement officials thanked the community for their assistance in locating the girls. No additional details about the circumstances were immediately released.
