HARRISBURG – This week, Republican leadership appointed state Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Cambria/Clearfield) to the House Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee. In addition, Kephart serves on five other committees: Energy; Finance; Gaming Oversight; Government Oversight; and Housing and Community Development.
“I am happy to join the Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee,” shared Kephart. “This appointment places me in a unique position as the only Republican member of the House to serve on both the Environmental and Energy committees. My legislative district has a long history of energy production and an abundance of natural resources. I look forward to serving my community in these critical policy areas.”
Kephart brings a wealth of knowledge with him to the Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee, including job experience and academic studies. During his legal studies in law school, Kephart obtained a concentration in Energy and Environmental Law, and he has worked in the energy field, specifically in coal mining.
