WARRIORS MARK- The 22nd annual Shoot for the Magic sporting clays competition was held June 6 at Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge in Ginter, raising over $40,000 for Children’s Aid Society’s Youth Mentoring.

Throughout the competition, 19 teams of four shooters navigated a challenging clays course and enjoyed a day filled with games of chance, a live auction, awards and great food.

KMI took home the championship with a total team score of 323. In the individual category Preston Keister took the High Overall Shooter award with a score of 92.  High Female Shooter went to Rachael Brown of the Snappy’s team with a score of 54. Colby Cartwright of the Jr. Land / Jr. Coal team took home the trophy for High Youth Shooter with a score of 61. The Grice Gun Shop team came in second place with a score of 302 and took home the Class AAA High Team award.

Since its inception the annual event has raised over $650,000! We couldn’t do this every year without the continued support of our sponsors, donors, auction item donors, and volunteers who spend multiple hours planning and those who come out to support us the day of the event. Many teams, sponsors and volunteers have been involved for 22 years!

2025 major sponsors included:

Gold Sponsors – Grice Gun Shop, CNB Foundation, Inc., Johnson Machine Company, JJ Powell, Jr. Land / Jr. Coal, Soult Wholesale Company.

Silver Sponsors – Snappy’s, Lezzer Lumber Company

Plans are underway for next year’s event, scheduled for June 5, 2026. For information on how to get involved or to learn more about Children’s Aid Society or Youth Mentoring please email info@childaid.org, call 814-765-2686, or visit us at www.childaid.org.
