Houtzdale, PA- The Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership (MVEDP) recently met with members of the Houtzdale Revitalization Association (HRA) for a check presentation. The MVEDP provided funding to the HRA to assist with the costs involved in creating the new David Wulderk Pavilion located in Houtzdale Borough.
“We are pleased to once again support the HRA in their work to create the new David Wulderk Pavilion,” said Gene Wardo, First Vice President of the MVEDP’s board of directors. “The volunteer members of the HRA have done an excellent job of revitalizing the site of the new pavilion. The MVEDP recently made a decision to reach out to community organizations that are making a difference in their areas of the Moshannon Valley,” said Wardo.
“The HRA is strictly a volunteer organization so to have the support of the MVEDP is truly a blessing to us,” said Marjann Young, President of the HRA board. “We don’t have regular sources of funding for our projects so every dollar counts,” she said.
The David Wulderk Pavilion honors a man that was dedicated to the well-being of the greater Houtzdale area.
