CLEARFIELD-  Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? The Mature Resources’ Meals on Wheels program is in dire need of drivers to help provide nutritious meals to local seniors.

Dennis Biancuzzo, Director of Business Development for Mature Resources, said it’s more than just driving position, it’s a chance to deliver hope and care to seniors who need it most.

The Meals on Wheels program plays a vital role in ensuring that homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities have access to healthy, well-balanced meals. For many recipients, the daily delivery of a hot, nutritious meal is not just about the food – it’s about the human connection and wellness check that comes with each visit from a friendly Meals on Wheels driver.

Locally, the programs serves about 400 people.

“Whether it is a couple of days a week or a couple of days a month, the hours are available,” said Biancuzzo.

The paid position offers local routes and flexible hours, noting that most service vehicles are loaded by 9 a.m. and drivers return from their deliveries normally by 1 -1:30 p.m.

The program is accepting applications from college students, retirees and anyone wanting part-time work with a valid driver’s license.

“Together, we can ensure that no senior in our community goes hungry or feels alone,” said Biancuzzo.
