CLEARFIELD – A Grampian woman accused of threatening a Clearfield man with a gun, pleaded guilty in court Monday.
Keisha Elixous Harris, 21, pleaded guilty to firearm not to be carried without a license, terroristic threats, simple assault and summary disorderly conduct.
She was sentenced by Judge Paul E. Cherry to serve six months to 18 months in jail with 36 months probation. She must also complete anger management counseling.
The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 21 at a Daisy Street residence in Clearfield.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the victim reported that Harris brandished a firearm at him in his front yard. He said he managed to take control of the gun and secure it.
When police arrived, he took police to his room where he had hidden the gun under a mattress and they seized it.
This victim explained that Harris entered another bedroom in the home by climbing through a window at 5:30 a.m., awakening the family. She also allowed her boyfriend to enter the residence.
After speaking with the occupants, Harris and her boyfriend went outside where a verbal altercation ensued between Harris and the victim.
She then pulled out a firearm from her sweatshirt and pointed it” at the victim’s chest, it says in the affidavit. The victim was able to grab the gun and then punched her in the face to take it from her. She and her boyfriend then left the area.
It is noted in the report that she does not have a concealed carry permit. The firearm was registered to a man in Frenchville.
