HYDE — Bellefonte Lady Raider lefty Adrienne Masullo limited the Clearfield Lady Bison to two hits, one in the first and one in the fifth, as the visitors 10-runned their hosts 11-0 in five innings on Monday at the Bison Sports Complex.

The four runs that Bellefonte scored in the top of the first inning ended up being enough for the win, but the seven they scored in the third led to the Mercy Rule win, their 14th on the season, against two losses.

The Lady Bison dropped to 6-12 for the year, including only two wins in their last 13 games after a 4-1 start.

Eve Siegel had a fly ball single down the right field line in the first inning and Megan Wisor belted a double over the rightfielder’s head in the fifth inning, only to be tagged out after rounding second to end the game. Those were the lone Lady Bison safeties.

Wisor was charged with the loss, lasting two-plus innings and giving up six earned runs. Joell Henry finished out the final three innings and allowed three earned runs.

Weather permitting, Clearfield has two regular season games remaining on the schedule. Tuesday they will travel to Greater Johnstown and on Wednesday they will host the Punxsutawney Lady Chucks in a Strike Out Cancer game on Wednesday.

They will then await the District 5/9 Class AAAA brackets to be released on Thursday.
