Clearfield – Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging, a leading provider of services and resources for older adults, is seeking drivers to join their Meals on Wheels program and deliver nutritious meals to seniors in the local community.

The Meals on Wheels program plays a vital role in ensuring that homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities have access to healthy, well-balanced meals. For many recipients, the daily delivery of a hot, nutritious meal is not just about the food – it’s about the human connection and wellness check that comes with each visit from a friendly Meals on Wheels volunteer.

“Meals on Wheels is so much more than just a meal. It’s a lifeline that allows seniors to remain independent in their own homes, and it provides a valuable opportunity for our drivers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their older neighbors,” said Kathy Gillespie, Executive Director of Mature Resources. “We’re looking for compassionate individuals who are eager to lend a hand and help us feed the growing number of seniors in our community.”

Meals on Wheels drivers are the heart and soul of the program, delivering meals and wellness checks to vulnerable older adults up to five days per week. The time commitment is flexible, with routes typically taking 2-4 hours to complete. Full training is provided.

To learn more about becoming a Meals on Wheels driver with Mature Resources, please visit www.vscyberhosting.com/ccaaa or call Human Resources at 814-765-2696. Together, we can ensure that no senior in our community goes hungry or feels alone.
