KYLERTOWN, PA- Early Wednesday morning, a massive fire erupted through an apartment building in Kylertown.
Engine Rescue 57 and Truck 57 were on scene of a 3rd Alarm Building Fire on the 300 Blk Old Route 53 in Cooper Township, Clearfield County, assisting Winburne Fire Company. Dispatched at 6:15 this morning, Chief 17 (Morris Township Fire Company) arrived shortly after and confirmed multiple occupants entrapped.
Upon the arrival of the first in units, a total of four entrapped or otherwise unaccounted for occupants were rescued and transferred to EMS for evaluation and treatment.
Dozens of units from at least five counties are currently on scene or still responding to the blaze, or are assigned to transfer to provide coverage to Central and Eastern Clearfield County as well as Western Centre County.
Avoid the Kylertown area as Rolling Stone Rd and Old Route 53 are closed and several other roadways including State Route 53. The area will be congested with staged fire apparatus as well as units transporting water to the fire scene from both the area of West Branch school and Winburne’s fire station.
