Clearfield Co.- The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County, a Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging program, will recognize the accomplishments and commitment demonstrated by outstanding community volunteers in the area’s largest local volunteer recognition ceremony, according to a news release from Mature Resources.
The 2025 Golden Rule Lightkeeper Awards will be held at a ceremony for the nominees. The Fabric of Our Community (Lifetime Volunteer Achievement) inductees will also be recognized, the release said.
Nominations are now open, and will be until April 15, according to the release. Any person or organization can nominate a volunteer in one of the five categories.
The categories are Adult Individual, Adult Group, Youth Individual and Youth Group, and Fabric of our Community. The nomination form can be found at www.mraaa.life//goldenrulelightkeeperawards .
“Volunteers give back to the community because they are internally motivated and inspired to respond to a need,” said Mature Resources Director of Business Development, Dennis Biancuzzo.
“Recognizing those individuals and groups who make such a profound impact in our community through their volunteer service is something we look forward to each year. We see it as a small gesture compared to the tremendous service they perform, because without them, so much of the great work that occurs in Clearfield County would not happen.”
In 2024, the Volunteer Center of Clearfield County provided the community with $92.664 in sweat equity. The volunteer database has 247 registered volunteers with so many other organizations searching for volunteers.
