CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners reorganized for 2025 on Tuesday.
Commissioner Tim Winters was appointed as board chairman and Commissioner John Sobel as vice chairman. Winters will also serve as chair of the county’s Salary Board.
The commissioners will keep the same schedule, meeting for workshops the first Tuesday monthly and for voting meetings the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly.
All meetings will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ conference room at the county’s administrative office building, located at 212 E. Locust St., in downtown Clearfield.
It was noted that the county’s Salary Board will meet the second Tuesday monthly prior to the scheduled commissioners’ meeting.
There is one exception in November 2025 when both boards will meet Wednesday, Nov. 12, due to the Veterans Day holiday.
The commissioners kept their board appointments the same, with Sobel serving on the Clearly Ahead Development and Recreation & Touism boards; Winters on the Central Counties Youth Detention Center and Community Connections Advisory boards; and Commissioner Dave Glass on the North Central Regional Planning and Development and Clearfield County Conservation boards.
In other business, the commissioners:
- appointed TRC as the county engineer.

- certified funds for the county Farmland Preservation Program.
