CLEARFIELD – Workforce Solutions for North Central PA and the Clearfield PA CareerLink® are excited to announce the grand opening of the state-of-the-art Virtual Reality Career Lab.
The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. To 12 p.m. at the PA CareerLink® in Clearfield, located at 1125 Linden St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
The Virtual Reality Career Lab is a cutting-edge initiative designed to revolutionize career exploration and training in the region. This innovative technology allows users to immerse themselves in realistic, interactive environments that simulate a variety of careers.
From advanced manufacturing to healthcare, participants can experience the skills and demands of different professions first-hand, helping them make informed career decisions.
Event wighlights will include:
- Live demonstrations of virtual reality career simulations.
- Networking opportunities with employers, educators and workforce development professionals.

This initiative reflects Workforce Solutions’ and the PA CareerLink® commitment to leveraging technology to enhance workforce development and address the needs of local employers.
“Employers can use virtual reality technology to support the skills training and onboarding of new hires. This helps to boost employee confidence and accelerates the development of key skills,” added Donna Hottel, strategic planning and project manager.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to try out the VR technology and speak with workforce specialists about how the lab can support their career goals.
