DECATUR TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clearfield-based Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred late on August 17, 2024, on Fairview Road in Decatur Township.
A white Ford F-series diesel pickup truck struck a legally parked vehicle and a nearby residence’s front porch before fleeing the scene.
According to State Police, the incident happened at approximately 11:58 p.m. The suspect vehicle, described as an early-to-mid-2000s Ford F-series with a utility bed, exited the right side of the road and impacted a parked vehicle. The truck then collided with the porch of a nearby home before fleeing east on Fairview Road.
Authorities say the truck was outfitted with several distinctive features, including an offroad front bumper, black wheels, two chrome “stack style” exhausts mounted in the utility bed, a headache rack, and black diamond-plate toolboxes.
After the crash, the vehicle continued east, turning onto Stumptown Road and then Summit Lane. It eventually crossed State Route 53 and parked at the Osceola Minit Mart. Surveillance footage shows the driver entering the store, purchasing snacks, and later fleeing north on State Route 53 towards Philipsburg.
Police describe the driver as a middle-aged male with a goatee. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a cutoff shirt with the phrase “I’m red necker than you” printed on it.
