CLEARFIELD – A Lanse man will stand trial for sneaking into a home and stealing his son’s medication.

Charges of felony criminal trespass, and misdemeanor intentional possession of a controlled substance against Frank Charles Hahn, II, 36, were held to court after a preliminary hearing on Wednesday during centralized court.

Additional charges of burglary and theft by unlawful taking were dismissed.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the child’s mother reported that Hahn had entered her Lawrence Township home while she was at a neighbor’s residence and taken the medication which was intended for her son who has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She explained that she suspected he was taking their son’s pills.

The couple has been separated for three years.

A few days earlier, Hahn had asked her for two of the pills, and she advised him she only had four left which she would need as her son was going to be with her for the next five days.

On Aug. 20, she went to the store to fill the prescription. While there she saw Hahn sitting in the parking lot.

After she got home, she went next door to tell the neighbor what was going on with Hahn. Both she and the neighbor saw Hahn walk past the neighbor’s home and enter her residence through a back door.

She walked back to her place where she saw Hahn grab the bottle of medication which contained the four pills, consume one and dump the remaining pills into his hand.

When he saw her he said “Did you f—ing take that script at the store?” and left.

The value of the pills is estimated to be $47.52.

Hahn is free on $25,000 bail.
