HARRISBURG – Two municipalities in the 75th District will receive funding to increase traffic safety and flow, according to state Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk).
“Pennsylvania’s ‘Green Light-Go’ program was created in 2013 to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals throughout Pennsylvania,” Armanini said.
“I applaud leadership in the City of DuBois and Sandy Township for actively pursuing funding to address their individual needs.”
The city will receive a more than $310,00 grant to be used for modernization of traffic signal equipment at Beaver Drive and Liberty Boulevard.
Sandy Township’s more than $485,000 grant will address traffic signal improvements at Brady Street and Dixon Avenue.
Municipalities which apply to the program are required to provide a minimum 20 percent match. “Green Light-Go” is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Maintenance and Operations.
