BIGLER – CenClear is still accepting registrations for pre-school locations across the region for the 2024-25 school year.
“Many families may assume that by summer it is too late to still enroll in pre-school for their children,” said Amy Wible, pre-school director for CenClear’s Early Childhood Division.
“Pre-school is a chance for young children to learn through a variety of experiences and hands-on activities. Our children engage in educational activities that promote all areas of development,” Wible added.
CenClear’s high-quality pre-school programs focus on the entire family. Wible said that “all families receive home visits and parent conferences that focus on ideas to promote their child’s development inside and outside of the classroom.
“This is one key ingredient to our approach to early childhood development and parents are very receptive to our program design.”
Pre-school is offered five days a week with either half-day or full-day schedules, depending on the location. Transportation is provided for many classes.
CenClear pre-school program criteria includes income eligibility requirements, but there are also additional ways families could be eligible for our Head Start program.
“If a child is still too young for pre-school, we offer Early Head Start, Early Intervention and Family Centers for young children as well,” Wible added.
CenClear offers pre-school programs in Clearfield, Centre and Elk counties and a list of locations can be found at www.cenclear.org/preschool.
