CLEARFIELD – On Friday, Feb. 9, CNB Bank hosted a SOUPer Bowl Challenge. Employees brought in 14 crocks of soup to compete in a friendly contest.
In the spirit of giving back, donations were collected in exchange for soup tastings. The contest raised $200 in monetary donations and gathered 85 non-perishable goods, supporting the local Blessing Box.
The Blessing Box launched in October 2023 as an Eagle Scout project, and serves as a collection center for non-perishable food items, socks, hats and more.
The goal of the Blessing Box is to create a direct channel for its community to donate non-perishable items, ensuring that everyone in the local area can benefit.
At CNB Bank, staff members believe in the power of collective effort and giving, making a positive impact on those in need.
Residents can find the Blessing Box on the lawn of the old Clearfield Borough police station, across from Upper Witmer Park.
The bank thanks all the generous participants who supported the SOUPer Bowl Challenge, and donated to the Blessing Box. It also extends congratulations to the soup challenge winners.
Top awards went to Gumbo (first place, Leasa Terry), Cheeseburger (second place, Jill Keller) and Buffalo Chicken (third place, Autumn Burke-Dempsey). Winners were awarded a “Golden Spoon.”
