According to a report sent out by PSP DuBois on Tuesday, September 5, the fire occurred around 12:01 a.m. on Monday, August 14, on Dr’s Lane in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

Police say the deceased is a 14-year-old male.

The male was identified as Gunner Richard Mohney, 14, of Penfield.

According to police, the death is currently undetermined.

Gunner is survived by his parents, Jeff and Jessica, and his brother, Jeffrey.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up on behalf of the Mohney family. To donate, click here.

The funds will go to the family to help with the unexpected expenses for Gunner’s funeral costs and help cover expenses as they try to find or build a new home.

“The road ahead for the family is going to be long and hard,” said organizer Melissa Herzing. “Gunner was an average teenager who loved playing video games and loved playing with his dog.”
