WHITE TWP., Pa. — Troopers are continuing to investigate after a man was found dead yesterday in Indiana County.

The death is not considered to be suspicious in nature.

On August 29, at approximately 10:57 a.m., members of the Troop A, Indiana Patrol and Criminal Investigation Units responded to the Two Lick Reservoir along East Pike Road in White Township upon report of a body found in the water.

The Blairsville Water Rescue Team was summoned to the scene and recovered the body of the individual, who was pronounced deceased on-scene by Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr.

Troopers were also assisted on-scene by members of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

The deceased individual was positively identified as a known adult male of Grain Valley, Missouri, and next-of-kin notifications are pending.

Upon gathering information and conducting interviews, it was determined that the man had recently traveled or relocated to Indiana, Pa.

No foul play is suspected and the cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.

In an effort to continue to gather additional information, troopers would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area of the Two Lick Reservoir during the late night or early morning hours of Monday, August 28, to Tuesday, August 29.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact TFC. Mathias Schmotzer at 724-357-1960.
