WARREN, Pa. (EYT) – Authorities are searching for a Warren County inmate who is a suspect in a homicide and is considered a highly dangerous individual.
According to the City of Warren Police, 34-year-old Michael Burham escaped from the Warren County Jail in the late hours yesterday, July 6, and early morning hours today, July 7.
Police say he is considered very dangerous and remained at large as of 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7.
The City of Warren Police are asking the public to be very cautious and aware of their surroundings. If you see anything out of the ordinary, please call 9-1-1.
Additionally, all citizens are urged to lock their doors and to stay vigilant.
“Definitely do not approach (Burham) because he was in prison on suspected arson and homicide charges,” a public information officer with the City of Warren Police told exploreClarion.com. “Before being apprehended on those charges, he was associated with a carjacking and kidnapping of a local couple. So, he is a very dangerous individual.”
Burham was last seen wearing an orange and white striped jumpsuit, a denim jacket, and crocs.
“We have no information about his motive or his intentions at this time,” the officer noted. “Federal, state and local resources have been brought in and are coordinating, as well as interstate resources. Both law enforcement resources from New York and Pennsylvania are cooperating and coordinating in this effort.”
