DUBOIS — Continuing and Community Education at Penn State DuBois will offer the supervision essentials series of courses this fall.
The supervision essentials series is designed to help individuals become a more effective and efficient leader. The classes are designed for first level supervisors, managers new to supervising others, individual contributors likely to move into supervision or experienced managers who would like a refresher. The updated content in the modules of this series includes topics that reflect current challenges faced by today’s managers in the workplace.
Several classes will be offered as part of this series throughout August, September and October. The classes available and their dates are:
- Meeting Supervisory Responsibilities – Aug. 30
- Communicating Effectively – Sept. 6
- Building Work Relationships – Sept. 13
- Leading Others – Sept. 20
- Solving Problems – Sept. 27
- Supervising Projects – Oct. 4
- Developing a Team – Oct. 11
- Building a Positive Work Climate – Oct. 18
Individuals can sign up for a single class or for any combination of classes in the series. The registration fee is $159 per class. Those who sign up for all eight classes are eligible for a discounted rate. Companies who register four or more of their employees are also eligible for discounts.
